Although our beliefs can be summarized in the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession, the following is a list of distinctives that characterize us.
We believe . . .
Christ is to be treasured above all things
In expository preaching and teaching
In biblical fellowship
In missions & evangelism
In promoting biblical manhood & womanhood (Complementarianism)
In a six literal day creation
In the inspiration, authority, & sufficiency of Scripture
Christ can be found in the Old Testament
The regulative principle (i.e., Scripture directs us in how we are to worship)
The gospel to be the power of God unto salvation
Churches should be elder ruled
The church is to be intentional about making disciples
In lordship salvation
In practicing regenerate church membership
In practicing church discipline
Believers are to devote themselves to prayer (corporately & individually)
We are to seek God's glory in all things
We are Not
We are not a social justice church. While we are not opposed to ministering to people and their needs when sharing the gospel with them, we believe that social justice gospel that is being promoted throughout the Southern Baptist Convention, the Presbyterian Church of America, and among many "Calvinist" today is antithetical to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
